A small group of animators from Crytek got together for this fun little exercise.
The idea came from an animation test from Anime studio Khara Inc that they use to find suitable candidates. The rules were simple:
- The piece must not be more than 10 seconds in length
- It must contain between 8-10 camera cuts
- It must show a character moving from one giant box to another.
And that was it. I finished it in a couple days between other bits of work that were coming my way at the time. It was a nice opportunity to try some different things and also get out of the realism that performance capture demands.
